5 Days of Gift Guides: DAY 3 // Adult Kids

{If you’ve tuned in on the 5 Days of Gift Guides thus far, feel free to skip the next intro. I’m including it on each day for those of you who might be coming in at different times!}

I love gifting - I just do! My mom has always been a great gift giver, and I know this has a lot to do with my love for gifting. With this Christmas season quickly approaching, I wanted to provide some insight and inspo into gifting for all of you. I wanted to go beyond just suggestions, so check out my product descriptions below. Each of these has been carefully selected with reason and purpose.

I’ve tailored these Gift Guides based on your requests (I did a poll on Instagram a few weeks back), so when y’all see the categories, know I listened to y’all’s feedback and created these just for you! Each item in the photos below is linked below for shopping - I hope you use these and love them!

Gifting can be stressful, so my hope is that these help give you vision for your 2018 holiday gifting. I’m releasing 1 a day, so let’s get started on Day 3!

Day 3: Adult Kids

  1. Clarisonic Mia Smart Cleanse and Blend Holiday Gift Set // $249.00. Speaking as a twenty-something adult kid who has received this as a Christmas gift in the past - there’s nothing better than receiving a semi-pricey, long-lasting tool. I LOVE my Clarisonic. If a large kit like this isn’t what you’re looking for, they do sell à la carte options like the Mia Prima Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush ($99.00). I’ve linked these options through Sephora, because they often have great specials and free samples with purchase, etc., but keep your eyes peeled, as I’ve also seen these pop up for a great price at CostCo too. Pro Tip: Beauty products & tools often have great holiday sets and discounts around this time of year that give you more bang for your buck. Facial Rollers are really popular right now in the beauty world, this Mount Lai Rose Quartz Facial Spa Set ($52.50) is a great option.

  2. Patagonia Women's Radalie Parka // $199.00. What is really awesome to receive? A nice jacket. I’ve mentioned this a few times in my guides thus far, but I’ve really grown to love a functional gift, and those make up a good bit of today’s guide. I find that investment pieces like a jacket are harder for me to pull the trigger on than most things, because it’s a chunk of change and there are a lot of options. Patagonia is my #1 outdoor lifestyle brand, and this parka is super versatile. They have fantastic customer service and warranties as well, so I like to try and purchase directly from them when possible, but if not, the rules still apply!

  3. Fiddle Leaf Fig House Plant // $99.99. First, I’ve linked this in case you need to send this from a far to your loved one, but I highly suggest purchasing in-person from a local nursery. I’m not huge on the shipping of plants, especially since fiddle leaf figs can be sensitive. Also, my fig is a great size and was $45.00 from a local nursery, so that’s the upside to purchasing locally too! And while they are sensitive, they are EASY. Key for gifting house plants: make them easy. We adult kids struggle sometimes keeping things like plants alive :) Pothos Plants and Air Plants are also great options that look cute in a home and are easy to take care of!

  4. Patagonia Men's Silent Down Shirt // $229.00. The same rules apply to this nice jacket selection for men as my description under #2 (the women’s parka). So scroll up and see :) But I love this Patagonia option for a guy, because it’s not the typical/popular jacket, it’s a bit more unique.

  5. David Yurman X Crossover Ring with 18K Gold // $295.00. Jewelry is the classic gift, but I love to include it, because I know how I’ve felt in the past receiving a piece of jewelry from my parents. It is something so, so special. David Yurman has great, reasonably priced options (You gotta filter the pricing when you search to find ‘em!). They also have great warranty/customer service to keep your jewelry looking good forever.

  6. JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth Speaker // Regular $149.95; $89.95 on Cyber Monday Sale! A bluetooth speaker is an unexpectedly great gift. This one has long battery life, is weather proof, delivers surround sound…great for travel or jams at the house. This is my favorite, but there are a lot of options out there.

  7. Instant Pot // $69.95. FOR THE LOVE OF A FUNCTIONAL GIFT! It’s so great - it’s 7 things in 1 (Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer). We love ours, and this is a great kitchen staple to have. A perfect adult-kid gift. Not too pricey, but a ton of bang for the buck.

    Another quick idea: Grab them a product made by their favorite influencer, blogger, or celeb!
